I tried posting this on the early cj forum but got no responses. I guess its because i own an intermediate cj. Hopefully I can get some help from ya'll on this side.

I am not very good with early cj's, so any help is great. My buddy is trying to sell a 1964 CJ6, and he came to me for a price. Full hard top (all glass broken), pto, winch, flat-tow bar, mild to moderate rust. F-head 4cyl. Has not run in some time, and stored outside.

Thanks in advance for your help,

    Switzer

Just my Opinion, but I'd guess 2K to 3K. Even with the discrepancies you listed sounds like a nice starter rebuild.

    Pics?

Mostly it depends on condition, completeness, and the buyer. Whether it runs or not isn't so important as completeness and overall condition. The CJ-6 is a desirable model, but a pile of rust isn't worth much.

$2K-$3K seems very high to me for a sight-unseen Jeep that doesn't run.

Some markets are better than others. CA and the PNW are higher, NE and midwest states are lower regardless of the condition.

You could eBay it with a $2K reserve, but I think you wouldn't sell it.

Thanks for the help, it is much appreciated. I'll pass it along and try to get some pics. Maybe ya'll can get a better idead with a visual. Its been many years since I saw it last, so my input on rust is not worth very much.

Thanks again, and I will post pics as soon as they are sent to me.

I might be interested in buying, depending on where it is located and some pictures.
