2 Key combinations that all windows users should learn:

    Control-C is copy
    Control-V is paste.

My rule is to never re-type anything that's already onscreen.. ;)

    Hellcat,

Great looking Jeep! I'm sure you are the envy of everyone on the block.

Thanks dfey. I am the envy of everybody in Steubenville. I know that I have the oldest jeep that is on the road. But, wait a minute......never mind, I was thinking about the CJ7 running around here. People have offered me money for it just looking at it. But, I know if I where to sell it, I would kick myself in the arse for selling it somewhere down the road.
    Thanks,
    Chris

Well, since the x-fer case was locked up, she wouldn't move. So then I disconnected the rear shaft at the x-fer case so I could push the tux in and out of the garage. The shaft was still connected at the rear diff, and banged all around whenever the rear wheels moves. I guess it had one too many "bangs", and the shaft broke in 2 among the inner splines.

Ha ha, yes you certainly are Chris. Well, I'm deep into the fun process of figuring out what I've got in this Tux. Including: determining the damage of the existing Dana 18. Today I drained the case, and a bunch of water came out (in clumps cuz it was below freezing). I'm now certain that the inner rails are rusted shut. Goona take some "encouraging" to break 'em free  . Today I ordered a bunch of stuff from Krage MotorSports that will help protect tranny and x-fer case from accumulating more H2O.

Swapping Dana 18's means pulling the one already on there (pain in the arrs). I'll let you know when I send up a white flag (might be soon!). In the meantime, I'm living vicariously thru your decision whether or not to rebuild your extra Dauntless 225. Did you get the engine ID yet?

Hellcat, I know this is an old post, and I dont know if you still have the jeep, but I think my 1947 CJ-2A has more candles on its cake! I keep wondering if I'll ever run into you, I live in Columbus, but Im in Steubenville every other weekend or so, wrenching or wheeling. Let me know if you still have the jeep, my brother has a 3B, and my dad has an early 5 that we wheel all the time. Drop me a line sometime, and we can get together, or just trail ride. Take it easy
