Well I got a scanner for x-mas and I thought I would scan a pic of my JEEP from last veteran's day 08'. I had the day off and I went around my property with her. This is a sofar pic. I have another one in here somewhere but I can't figure out how to post the first one then this stage of the game. I am going to put in a 3" Black Diamond lift this spring because the springs and shocks in there now are very tired. Hope this works.

Good job. A suggestion on the scanning: most units let you do a preview or pre-scan. Do that first, then adjust the size so it only scans the photo and not all the background. That should give you a larger finished product. :)

Thanks. As for the road it actually is the road I will be living on once I build my house. Right now it is just like a class 4 road.

The 5 looks good! How do you like the 34x9.50's? As I recall you aren't that far from us. We'll have to get together and do some Jeeping this year!

Sorry it took so long to reply but I do like the 34x9.50's lots. They have lots of bite and they are tall and skinny. Thank you, I am glad you like it. I am not to far from you I think. I would like to do some jeepin'. I will be putting in a 3" black diamond lift in the next week or so. I will post some before and after photos when done. I hope it turns out well.

    Update for 7/25/09:
Myself and two of my co-workers installed the lift and shackles today. The JEEP gained just about 5 inches from a 3 inch black diamond lift. We had to cut out some stuff but it went fairly well. It took around 5 hours. The old girl looks really good with 34x9.50r15 super swamper tsl's now. It is a little stiff right now but it will settle out. We did have one problem though.....Once I took her out on the road I got a very good shimmy. I limped her home but in the process the tail pipe fell off and ripped up the lugs on the swampers a bit. It is ok because I need a spare anyway so this will be the one. I found some 4-6 degree shims in my free jeep parts so tomorrow Myself and a co-worker will install them to fix the shimmy problem. The drive shaft has extended too much so this is where I think the shimmy is coming from. I will post an update tomorrow.

Well I posted some more pics on my profile album. Now I need to rebuild the tranny. Well I think I do. I need to open it up tomorrow and inspect the condition. If the gears are good then I will just do an overhaul with bearings, syncros, seals , small parts and gaskets. I need to get some 4* shims for my rear springs to fix some of the leftover drive line vibration. I will post some pics of the transmission after looking at it.

Well here is an update. I cleaned off my transmission and found out it was a T14 A-1. Without cutting the welds on the floor or the correct tools, which I did not have, I could not get the cover off. So I started looking for parts and decided Herm is the guy to get the stuff from and if the tranny is really bad I would get a rebuild from him. But anyway I installed the 4* shims on the rear springs this past weekend. It took around 30 mins. so it was quick. Now the driveline angle is a lot better. I took her for a spin down the road and the strange grinding noises when stopping are gone. There is no driveline vibration but there is swamper vibration. There is still a little growl in second and none in third. I am still thinking the tranny needs an overhaul. Oh an the tranny doesn't pop out of gear now. Well at least not yet. I didn't take pics of the tranny because I figured out what it was. I will post some more pics of the build soon.
