Hello all. New member here with lots of questions.

I have a 67 CJ6 that has been hacked up a few time before I bought it. I'm replacing the transmission and transfer case with an SM420/D18 twin stick pair.

I need to build/obtain a transmission suppoprt crossmember. My questions are about the height of the rear of the transfer case.

How low does the output of the transfer case usually sit? My engine/transmission/transfer case is tilted down 5 degrees at the rear. Is this correct? Is this necessary? What would happen if I raised it up to a more level position?

I know the rear pinion should be parallel with the rear output yoke, but what about the front pinion/yoke? Wouldn't the front pinion need to point down by 5 degrees to match the front yoke and keep the driveline parallel?
