I was just wondering if anyone has had any luck modifying a UTV 60" plow and mounting hardware to fit an early cj5??

Would depend on how sturdy the plow is. I have a Kimpex brand plow on my ATV and bent it in a circle, broke the push tube off the frame. I got it straightened, rewelded and gusseted. A Jeep behind it would destroy it. The little garden plows might be stronger but as said above not wide enough.

I guess you can rig up anything to work, eventually. But here in the northeast, you can buy old style plow blades pretty cheap. Why not start with a 6 1/2 foot blade meant for an old toyota or s-10? My grandfather built his own plow setup for his 2A back when they first invented snow:). He used an old meyer blade, a willys hi-lo pump and a shopbuilt pushframe that would make you cringe, but he plowed for 40 years with it and always had the cleanest driveway on the street.

Good luck with your project, let us know how it turns out.
