engine trouble

    Recently, my jeep started to run, then would die. Now it will start immediately upon jumping it, but dies soon after. Any suggestions? Could it just be the battery or something else?

    It sounds more like fuel prob than charging system. If it starts right up and then dies after the ign switch is returned to the on position, then I would look at the ballast resistor. Is this what is happening? Can you give us some more details? How long does it run before dying down? What ign system you using --standard or electronic-- fuel pump/mechanical/elect?
