My issue is that there is a lot of heat in the cab of my jeep. I think it might be partly from the fire wall or even more so because my exhaust pipes terminate under the driver's and passenger's seats.

When I lived in Colorado I never noticed the extra heat, but now I am in Austin Texas and cold is not an issue. I realize it's not a luxury vehicle, but it seems excessive.

Has anyone else experienced too much heat in their jeeps? Do you guys think it is the exhaust that is the cause? I had thought about moving the exhaust anyways because I do not like the idea of those fumes so close.

My AC guy gave me a sheet of the 1" duct board to insulate the fire wall--if that is the problem.

Never had the problem of too much heat in a Jeep.
The heat from your exhaust system is warming the firewall and also the floor.
Insulating the firewall won't help much.

Typically you'll have heat problems if the exhaust is routed too close to the floor. It helps a lot to put an extra piece of sheet steel between the exhaust and the floor - all you need is an air gap between the shield and the floor, to cut down the heat a lot.

I've also used jute carpet padding on the floor, under carpets. Helps greatly with both heat and noise.

Just like the heat shield above the catalytic converter.
Love the smell of the burning carpet.
