225 Chain and gear?

    So the cover is off and the chain has been hitting the cover. The local shop thinks that the cam might have a worn lobe causing the chain and gear to be pushed out. What do you think? Also having a hard time finding a cam button and spring. Maybe this is the damper spring?

    Could be. Chain could be just worn too.

    Autozone has cam buttons I thought (for the odd fire 231). They've been discussed here alot in the past. Most of our Jeeps never left the factory with one.

    If you do need a new cam or just want one, look at the Comp Cams 252H.
