IIRC from a few years back when I was looking into that option it was *theoretically* do-able to use the FI from FWD motor on a RWD block, albeit with some wierd directional stuff due to the engine orientation difference.

Some queries posted to the http://www.gnttype.org/ might net you some more insight.

While the theory sounded good, the project was past my abilities...so moved onto the only "bolt-in" FI for the Dauntless....which is an entire 4.3 Chevy...;)

OK, I finally have the right distributor with the vacuum advance. I am currently running points type dist. What is involved in this swap? My understanding is this:
Remove old dist, coil and resistor.
Install new dist, plug wires (bigger 7mm-8mm)
Hook up the tach to tach side plug on dist
hook up wire that went into the resistor to the batt. side.
Run all plug wires and it should start right up?

    Right?
    Thanks

    yes

But don't forget grinding the intake bolt and intake to get it to fit.

    Hey Sparky,
Thanks for the info. Do you have a pic of what needs to be ground off?
    Thanks

Look at the front left of the intake.

    There's a bolt there. ;)

Someone here can get pics for you I'm sure.

Oh, replace it with a button head bolt that helps.

If I am reading the info correctly all Buick v6 engines, OF or EF all have the same firing order, correct? 1-6-5-4-3-2
    Thanks

I thought that was the only firing order for a Buick V6?
