Mostly finished tire carrier

Took some time off from work to get Pete finished up. Got the tranny finished yesterday, but must wait on a friend to help put it in. So I finished up the tire carrier (minus lugs and paint). Since I'm such a cheapskate, I made the latch w/ scrap metal and a hitch pin. The hinge is a weldon gate hinge from Northern Tool ($14.99). I burnt out the plastic bushings when I welded it on (they were going anyway). I drilled it out to 11/16" and installed two 1/2"X11/16"X1" bronze bushings I bought at TSC that I found in their specialty fastener rack. I needed a new drillbit for the lug holes (so the ribs will seat). Fastenal had to order it, so it'll be tuesday before I get done. Going to my Grandmother's house for Thanksgiving. She has yet to see her old jeep. It's going to be so cool to show her.:v6:
