oil pump gasket ?

    I am rebuilding my oil pump ,Dauntless.
    And I not sure about the gasket.
    In the picture there are 2 rectangle type holes.
    the one towards the top without vasaline init..
    My gasket is not cut out for that hole...
    Should it be??
    I have 2 gaskets and both do not have this hole cut out.....
