So, I ordered some new wiper blades for my project/toy, and then I realized, I dont have any way of getting washer fluid up onto the windshield, as this was not a feature in the 61. Has anyone ever attempted to install something like this on a vehicle this old? Is this even possible? I would think it would just be a container, a pump and a switch...but more than likely knowing my luck, its more than this...

MOP installed one on his Jeep. He bought a generic kit, then got some TJ nozzles and put them on the hood IIRC.

It's doable, the later 1960s CJ-5s had WS washers, a single sprayer mounted on the cowl and bag under the hood on the left fender.

lots of factory options listed for washers back in that time
knob operated dash mounted hand pump
    foot operated pump
    or even electric
3 factory kits listed (all discontinued now)
find something more modern like Sparky suggests

edit: wonder how many of these kits were installed on the Jeeps still out there ?

I put a generic kit on my JEEP recently and put nozzles from a 74? CJ5 on it. Still need to wir it to the switch but it holds fluid. Had to make a reducer from 3/16" ID to 1/8" ID to go to the nozzles.

I used a pump nozzle from an '85 RX-7. Works well...

Herm the overdrive guy has a kit -- looks pretty much like a universal type kit from what I can see.
http://hermtheoverdriveguy.com/id2.htm Look for the Windshield Washer kit on this page.
