Gearing question

Just because I want something to think about...here is a question for everyone. I have 5:38 gears in my A1, T90/18 transmission/case, and 31" tires. If I am in low (tcase) but in second gear in the transmission, is that the same as being in 1st gear in high? What gear ratio's are the same between low/high transfer case? I don't really need to know, I was just thinking about it the other day. Thought I'd ask the experts.

 

Easy to calculate.

Go to Jeeptech and look up the ratios. T-90: 2.96, 1.66, 1.0. Dana 18, 2.46, 1.0. Axle: 5.38.

2nd Low: 1.66*2.46*5.38 = 21.96:1
1st High: 2.96*1.0*5.38 = 15.92:1

So 2nd-Low is lower than 1st-High.
