Frame dimensions

    anyone know off the top of their head, the distance from frame rail to frame rail, front and back. On a 78cj5, and a 71cj5.?

    i just tried to measure it but its dark raining and with my curretn bumprers and stuff it makes an accurate measurement very difficult..

    I am trying to figure out if a bumper for a 76-86 cj will fit a 71 cj.

    Does this give you what you need? I think the fronts are the same on the 71 and 76 and later since the axles bolt right in.
