I think I decided on Woodstock Green paint for the 3B. It looks like its the original color of my jeep under all the years of paint. Im just wondering if anyone has the correct paint mix proprtions or will a paint shop be able to get a hold of it for me?

Don't know if this link helps, but the 3B page is a wealth of info just in case you don't have it already. I'm particularly interested in this question because I too, have a '53 3B that the original color was Woodstock Green and plan on leaving it original.

Ah, yes the cj3b page has been extremly helpfull over the course of my project. I must have just overlooked this section, my bad. It looks like this is what we're looking for. I know what i want my jeep to look like im just hesitant to use the original mix proportions cause i dont know if it will come out correct. There are a few woodstock green jeeps on the cj3b owners photos but i wonder if they used this same reference material. Thank you though, if a paint shop could produce a sample of the color befor applying it to the body, that would be helpfull too. I am not quite ready for color yet, but im trying to get an idea of exactly what I want.

Your local paint shop should be able to cross reference that color.
Also you might need the number code for the color so look on the auto color library.

Sometimes the local shops wont be able to find the color in their mixes so you might have to find a different paint supplier.

Contact Robert Dorfman of Mopaint. He is the authority on Mopar paints. Mopar consults with him on original color formulas. I know him very well. I have spoken with him about mixing an identical match for my Presidential Red CJ. No problem. Just make sure you stress to him what kind of paint (i.e., enamel, single-stage or two-stage urethane, etc.). If you don't, he will give you the exact formulation applied by the factory. With the quality of modern paints, I don't know if you want to go backwards in technology. Mopaint: (732) 846-1044. Tell him Vincent A. referred you. Good luck. Send us photos of the finished job.
