    Hello,

Several months ago I posted a thread regarding the 1965 CJ-5 Jeeps used in the LBJ Presidential Parade.

My family owns one of these Jeeps.

I was wondering if anyone knew how many Jeeps were used in the parade.
Does any member own a similar Jeep or know of the existence of other Jeeps used in the parade.

I know there were red, white and blue Jeeps and wanted to thank the members who have forwarded some historical pics of these Jeeps.

We have owned this Jeep for 32 years and have not performed any major changes since purchasing it at a local auction. In the time that this vehicle has been in my family it has had the seats reupholstered and a new top added. The Jeep was repainted before my parents purchased it.

As requested by other members I've enclosed pics of the Jeep. It has been off the road for about 15years and is currently tucked away in a garage waiting the day that I will conduct a ground-up restoration. I was unable to get a clear photo of the dash plaque which reads something to the effect of "This JEEP was an official unit used in the inaugural parade for the 36th President Linden Baines Johnson".
