Tecumseh top install ????

    Hi every one.
    When I bought my cj it came with a fair shape best top and a tecumseh alum top and doors. Ive never had the hard top on but its getting to be time for the new heater core and hard top to go on:(.
    The question i have is where the top lays on the windshield frame there are no holes for bolts and there are 5 holes in the hard top. How ever in the front of the windshield frame there are several holes above the channel where the soft top clips into. Is there supose to be an angle bracket there for the hard top to bolt to or should it bolt right to the top of the windshield frame and if so will self threading bolts be good enuf or should there be captured nuts in the frame? Also there are spring loaded hooks on the side of the windshield frame what are these for?

    The original thread postings are from 2008, and cjmike1962 also hasn't been on the forum since 2008...guessing a response is very unlikely.
