My spare tire is an 8.45x15 Goodyear Suburbanite and it may have been original to the Jeep. The PO had changed to H70-15 snows in 1970. I want to fit radials and keep the original size/stance. It looks like the 8.45-15 crosses to a 225/75/15.

Does anyone run this size? Does it give a reasonably close stance to the Suburbanite?

I ran 225/75-15 on one of my Jeeps. It's factory for some TJs and most YJs and XJs. I ran Mickey Thompson MTX. Pretty good, but they look a little modern. Try Treadwright for some cheap retreads that'll work well and last a while.

Only bummer is they don't do the 225 size, but the 235/75-15 is pretty good: http://treadwright.com/Tires-235_75R15_OTR-P6.aspx

Coker Tires are supposed to carry stuff that is close to original.

    My spare is a 7.50 x 15.
