rancho 9000 xl shocks

    Looking for new shocks and I see that these rancho xl 9000 come highly rec. here. Only thing I can't find them for my application, 57 CJ5. Are they available for my year? Anyone running them for early CJs? Thanks, Paul

    I measured mine and just found the number that fit - check thier site as they have a full listing with the measurements.

    I'll second what Chuck said. I measured mine pin-to-pin, then found the shocks on their site that put my measurement about mid stroke, and maximized the available compression/extension.

    If you're combining these with a new lift, don't forget to allow a bit for springs settling.
    New bumpstops of appropriate length will help to prevent damage to your shocks from bottoming out; I used Rancho bumpstops.
