I am going to make some patch panels and floor pans for the Commando, what gauge sheet metal should be used? I was thinking 16 gauge for the body patch (rockers) and maybe 14 gauge for the floor panels. What do you think?

Floor pans and rockers new from justjeepsters.com. Also could make rockers like mine out of 2x4 1/8" tubing. Inner to outer max width is 4 inches so they weld right in and really take a beating. Also raises lower body line about 2".

18 gauge is plenty both repairs. Try so save or replace the supports under the floor pans. Bead roll floor pans if you can. A cheap harbor freight air punch/flange tool will really lend a pro look to the patch.
