1962/63 with v6

I am new, very new, to the Jeep World. A friend has a 1962/63 CJ5 for sale (Can't locate title to varify at present) which has a v6. I am curious as to the possibility of this being the origional engine or a replacement.

It's a popular swap though ... just because it isn't the factory engine isn't reason to reject it.

<edit> Also, year of production can be difficult to pin down for these vehicles. Errors abound, for many different reasons. If you have the VIN, look here for a check of the most likely build date http://www.earlycj5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28444

My ECJ5 (title says 1969) turned out to be a '62 w/ v6 swap, similar to yours.
