Can anyone tell me what year my cj5 is?

    I inhereted an CJ5. I thought it was a 66, but I just took off the drums and it seemed more like a 72.

    The serial number is 8305 A 213680
    It has a V6 Dauntless engine.

    It was built in May of 1966 according to $sink's page.

    Welcome from Boston.

    Just having the later 11"x2" brakes is not much of a reason to doubt what the VIN says it is. The bigger brakes are a common upgrade. Plus, all the '72s had inline 6s or V8s... no more V6 after 1971.
