Looks great! Did you have to weld any patch panels on the tub? If so, I am just about ready to start welding some patches on mine and might need to pick your brain. Did I mention it looks great?

I welded a few in to the floor I did fill the side spare tire mount and tire sunbber bolt holes and there was a bunch of holes in the tub at the top rim and around the windshield where the steel top mounted I welded and filled about 30 holes in all.

I have about 30 holes to fill in from the PO as well. Did you shoot your weld into a piece of copper or something? If not, how did you fill he holes? When you welded the panels, how did you weld them in? Did you use 18g panels? After all the welding, did you cover the welds with fiber glass filler or just shoot with primer and then filler later? I'm sure this body repair thing isn't rocket science, but I am trying to find what methods people have had success with and by the looks of it you know what you are doing.

Well I am A welder by trade. I cut back to good metal trace out what i needed to change. Make the new part to the templet. I use a peace of heavy metal clamped in place or tacked to back up and keep things from moving around. then you start tacking in place. I have a small MIG welder using mixed gas running at 7 to 10 lb the welder turn down to it lowest setting and runing as cold as you can to join the two metals. After that you grind off the excess metal weld with a 4" grinder then I smooth it all down with a pearl max flapper disk on the grinder. Do it right and theres not much fill that has to be done with a little bondo and high fill primer you back to looking like factory in no time. If you need to jump a hole you can allways add metal in at the same time as you weld i use a plain old wire coat hanger a lot of the time thats a little trick. :tea::smash:
