Flattie wont fire?

    My '48 had a Mallory hyfire ignition control on it last week and well i fried it in the creek. Engine compartment didnt get wet just the inside where my box was mounted. So i purchased a new MSD box and got it hooked up but now the engine wont fire. It has spark to the coil but thats where it stops. Replaced the coil wire and plug wires, but still wont fire. If you let it sit for a few minutes then turn it over you get spark for the first few spins then it stops, and doesnt spark anymore...Thgouhts????

    tried three different ones of my other jeeps and still does it...
