Not in action yet, but it will be on Monday. We're heading up to the Kettle Falls area for a week's vacation and I really want to take the TJ instead of the X-terra. To fit the dogs, the cooler, and the luggage, we're going to need the bantam. It's also supposed to rain on Monday.

I've got the spare tire mounted back on the trailer and have found enough bungee cords to keep the canvas tarp fairly tight. We've also got some water tight bins and duffels. Between them and the tarp, I think we'll be fine:

Once we get there, we can drop the trailer for our daily excursions.

    More pix to come.

Both wheel bearings were a little loose, so I tightened them up. They looked good otherwise:

Loaded thing thing up this morning with a week worth of supplies:

And drove 200 miles north to a rental cabin in Kettle Falls. The trailer towed great. You hardly notice it behind the TJ:

We'll leave the trailer at the rental while we use the TJ to explore the area.

Loaded the trailer back up and headed home today:

The trailer did great. The TJ lunched the throwout bearing but I manage to limp it home.

I got jealous of all you guys with Bantams...

Took an old Sears trailer out of my "long-term parking" junkpile. It had little dinky wheels but by lengthening the axle, I fitted my discarded YJ wheels and tires, under new 'jeep' fenders. Added a luggage rack, also from the scrap-pile.

Now I have the weatherproof rolling toolbox I needed, and I'm ready for Jeep camping. Never throw anything away!

Thanx. It has multiple options for how to conform it, and a boat winch to lift the timber up snug.

I have lighter ones too, for hand use, but that beam is 400-500 pounds, and had to come from about 1/4 mile away.

The cable inside the doorway goes to a 1000# electric winch, which I wired with a corded remote. Using multiple snatch blocks we can reach anywhere inside the barn. A real back-saver.

We have lifted the entire barn 18 inches.

Used the Bantam to meet halfway to the Tri-Cities to sell the too-big wheels/tires the TJ camw with. Towed like a dream:
