    Hello,
Has anyon eever installed a Grant Steering wheel? Have a 1974 CJ5 with power steering. Purchased a Grant wheel and the correct installation kit. Have gone through all the issues like removing the original wheel, drilling the proper size hole in the wheel so it fits the steering shaft, figuring out how to mount the wheel to the adapter(need a longer set of bolts temporary so that you can get a wrench/socket on wheel nut and tighten) Now I find a 3/8-1/2 " gap/play between steering wheel column and adapter. Adjusted the upper u joint and shafts, and removed maybe and 1/8-1/4 '' of play, but still have 1/4 '' gap/play. Other than removing the upper steering wheel staft and machining it to fit any other suggestions?
Also any sources of where I can get a new upper wheel shaft, looks like the splines and threads on mine have seen better days. Will most likely hold for now, but would not want to put any off road stress on that shaft, steering wheel might shear off.
    Thanks
    Bill

That's the problem with universal kits. They universally don't fit anything correctly and are a universal PITA to install :)

Mine bolted on in 15 minutes,,,no pain, no fuss, no drilling or fabricating.
