    Hello everybody!!
I purchased one tube of permatex #2 to apply to my headbolts as some guru's told me.My question is how much to apply to each bolt? And to which bolts apply it?When you say bolts that goes to the water jacket, you mean the bolts that contacted with the cooling fluid? That's all the bolts on the f-head except the under the carb small bolt.Am i right?

    John,

i use the permatex in the spray can, looks like red paint, and is sticky:shock: on all head bolts, and any others that come into contact with the water jacket IE manifold studs, waterpump bolts etc

Fill the first 2 to 3 threads of each bolt with it. I used it on all head bolts but my small block is a bit different than your f-head so I won’t try to speak for what bolts should or shouldn’t get thread seal.
