Back in the daze, me and my girlfriend borrowed her ex's "Super Jeep" to take a trip from Orlando Florida to Farmington Illinois. It had some fat mudders and I recall the folks in Illinois drooled over it.

That was the first jeep I ever drove. Loved 'em ever since.

Yep there is one in the showroom of the local Jeep dealer. Or at least there used to be one I have not been to those clowns in 3 years now I believe.

Yes. They aren't anything more than a paint and decal scheme and wheels I believe. Not too common, but not worth much more because the package didn't really add any performance parts to the vehicle.

There have been a few guys that have joined that have these. One comes to mind, he had a brown one that was pretty much all original.

But they are attractive looking vehicles. Certainly eye-catching.

I was about 19 yrs old then, brings back some good memories. ..

The jeep I have now used to have a US Star decal from a WW2 Airplane wing on the hood. It was old and wrinkled up and I couldnt save it. I wish I had pics of it.
It had the red dot in the middle of the star which was discontinued after Pearl Harbor since the Japanese used the red rising sun.

I am lucky enough to have one. I found it on Craiglist in Colorado Springs 6 months ago. I bought it from the second owner. It has 60,000 miles, the 304 V-8 and not one speck of rust. It's been garaged kept it's entire life. I just rebuilt the engine & tranny. I still need to finish the upholstery, but it's all original (except for dual exhaust). I need to post some pictures but my computer is a turd and hates me.

I was 18 in 1973 when my older brother bought one off the showroom floor. It was the first Jeep I drove as well (he didn't like driving it in the winter so I was happy to swap him my 1967 Mercury Caliente' every now and then . . .)
