Console/Stereo

    My boss just upgraded the stereo in his boat and gave me his stereo and marine speakers.

    I mounted the speakers in a couple of .30 cal ammo boxes to keep them waterproof. The console is a 20MM ammo can which if I put the top on, it too is waterproof to protect the stereo and CB. I think it looks pretty good....what do you think?

    Nice job on the ammo box. Is that wood with inserts cut out and slid in?

    I might steal that idea for mine.

    Actually, it's the metal side panel off of an old PC case.....

    Nothing is hardwired. I have plug-ins for the speakers, power and antennas. So, if need be, I could remove easily.

    Sounds pretty good. I will probably add some insulation behind the speakers in the smaller boxes though to cut down on excess sound out the back.
