T150 to T15

First gear is shot in my T150 that someone swapped in my 1974 cj5. My question is can I swap a T15 in I have one that came with my jeep the bell housing looks like it has the holes for a T15 but the input shaft is to long can I swap input shafts on the trans or am I just dreaming of something that will not work without another bell housing?

 

You need the T-15 bellhousing. The T-15 and T-150 only share 3 speeds and 3 characters in their names, nothing else. The T-14 and T-15 behind AMC engines used the same bell, so it should be easy to find.
