Beautiful. I have to think red wheels would look a little clownish though. I vote stay black or go with an argent silver/gray. Or yellow. But not red.

The rims got painted black yesterday. I just told the wife i painted them like that because i do not have red paint and probably will try to let her forget about it ;)

Only thing now it to think about maknig a jig of some sort to hold a small paint brish so i can get the pinstripe donw around the wheel. No way i can free hand it, it will come out egg shape :(

Take the wheel off and lay it down, put a piece of all-thread or a dowel rod through a block of wood so that it's centered in the center of the rim, tie a paintbrush to a string tied to the rod and there you go. Make the string the right length so that the brush stays in a perfect circle as you go around the rim.

HHHMMM Now that is a good way. I was thinkngi bout raising the jeep up and spinning the tire as i make a rig to hold the paint brush.

Hmm, that could work too. Better yet, put it in gear and have the tire spin itself. Hmm, better yet, have the wifey sit in it and rev it up while in gear while holding the brush. I can see a "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" moment here when it falls off the blocks and crashes through the garage and lands in the pool below. R)

    Looks good Dan!

I was considering just trying pinstripe tape on my wheels. IIRC my Dad did that years ago and it came out well.

I am thinking bout using the magnetic base for my dial indicator to hold a paint brush, since you can have it sit on metal and be sturdy.
