Look on pirate4x4, a have seen it discussed and a few had built them.I think there may have even been some cad drwings.I do remember there were a couple good ideas that would make it fairly easy to do.If you are not registered there just sign up and use the search feature to find what you are looking for.

I have been thinking about doing this myself. I figure it'd be easier to make a new frame than clean, repair, box, strap or whatever my 40+ year old frame. 2x3" box tubing 3/16" wall is what people seem to be doing mostly. There has been arguments about the thickness.. that 1/8" is strong enough. Our jeep frames are not very thick and not even boxed all the way.

scott: yah i have bee looking on pirate but when i search tube fram i get any thread that mentioned tube and any thread that mentioned frame.

dan: yah i was thinking the same thing im planning on running either yj springs or chevy springs and chevy axles and the weakness of the frame made me worry. yah it might hold but if your out playing, how much frame flex are you going to get out of it. especially since mines a CJ6.

There is one done by a guy on here, but it looks like it has fallen off the listing. Might ping Sparky and see if it can come back.
