    The S10 4x4 gear will provide more road feel than the older gears, ie less boost. Probably not a good option if you have really big tires. It is a variable ratio gear, so the ratio speeds up as you go away from center. This is meant to improve stability straight ahead on the highway, while still being fairly responsive in curves, and not requiring a lot of wheel spinning for parking. Note that the S10 and S10 4x4 (or Blazer) have different ratios, the 4x4 version being more turns (and higher boost?).

    The modern gears (ie '90s S10) are said to be more durable than the older ones too - the old passenger car or Jeep gears all seem to be loose and leaky, but the used S10 gears seem to be uniformly in good condition.

    Can someone post a picture of the Saginaw Power steering installed.
    the pic needs to be shot from above inside the engine bay with a 225 installed.
    i need to see clearences to the engine.

    Also...Do I need to change the column as well when I swap in the Saginaw steering?
