How tough is it to replace the joint that attaches to the steering box on the steering shaft????

It's the last thing on my list of replacements, but the last time I had the steering shaft out it was a bear to work with. Any advice?????

I want to get this as tight as possible, then get an alignment done.

    Thanks

I just did mine, it was a bit of a bear. The way I did it was to remove the whole shaft which makes it easier to get the retaining clip out of the bell.

Did my 75. Not a big deal, but no fenders at the time. Agree with Norco, pull bell with shaft. Put a new ujoint in while you have it out. Take the horn contact off the column (bottom of column inside jeep) or it may get damaged, depending how far you pull shaft out of tube.
