Overdrive Clearance

    Just trying to plan ahead as I am installing a dual exhaust system on my M38 with a 283 Chevy engine. Do not have the overdrive at this time but am wondering how much clearance I would need for the installation of the overdrive? The driver side muffler will have a portion of it fall behind the transfer case.

    when mounted to the transfer case , the OD extends about 6" to the rear.
    You need probably 3-4 more inches for removal/installation clearance.
