Shackle reversed from factory 57 cj5

    I have two 57 cj5's and on the front axle the shackles are on the rear of the spring behind the axle. They both look factory and I thought they did this for a year or two. Can someone shed some light on this!! Thanks fdpwr2a

    It was changed in late '57 to go to the slient type shackle.
