After hauling my new project home, a 66, cj5 with the 225, I am finding I'm missing lots of little parts here and there. I noticed the motor doesn't have a starter. The transfer case and tranny are out of it with the fly wheel and other parts are laying inside. My question is, can I use any early buick (V6) starter or does it have to be specific to that motor or flywheel? Thanks for any help.

You need to have the correct drive on the starter for the tooth count on the flywheel.

The 225 and early 231's (for sure, the new might as well) share the starter.
