What diffs do I have

Im curious to know what diffs i have in my jeep
after seeing this pic

I can say its ether a 25,27 or 30
I would like to know how I can tell the difference in them
the front and back diffs look identical
I have 9 inch drums and the front is closed knuckle

 

Are they spicer, and not a mahindra? My guess is a 25 front. Look on the web on the cast portion (facing up usually) may need to wire brush it, but it should be stamped "25" or "27"
25&27 came with closed knuckles and early 27's had 9" brakes.

and found where the serial numbers are on my diffs and front and back to my surprise I found

44-1F on both diffs ????

On the closer inspection of the higher quality pics my diff housing well in truly looks like the D44 housing
I couldnt find the date stamp on the front one though haven't looked on the back yet

I found that a closed knuckle 44 was used in the Gladiator between 63 and 73

 

Yes, a 44 has a cover that is more octagonal.



The 25, 27 and 30 are more like a circle with two flat spots, like this:

 

The guy that gave it to me didnt know what he had then woohoo
he gave me the choice of 2 chassis and i toke the one that looked the least stock
