I just purchased an energy suspension polyurethane bushing kit for my 73 cj5 and I was planning on putting them on today. The kit came with a cup of grease for the bushings. Do I use the grease only between the bushing and the metal sleeve that the shackle and leaf spring bolts go through? Do I need to put the grease on any other parts? The kit did not include any information about what parts need to be greased.

    Thanks

When I installed my energy suspension bushings last year, I used the grease on the outside of the bushings, the bolt that goes thru them, and I put some on the ends after they were installed before installing the shackles. In other words, I smeared it everywhere. Not a single squeak yet.

Yup, Won't hurt to grease everything. I just replaced my rears a couple days ago, and the grease helps with installation, as well as wear.
