Tach and Pertronix 1548

    I'm getting the Pertronix 1548 for my IAY 4401B distributer. Right now I'm fighting with the points in there and they seem to be real touchy about being right at the .020" gap. Doesn't want to run at any thing else. No +/- .001". I have a Sun tach wired in the way the directions tell me Bl = ground; Gr = Coil -; R = switched power; W = dash lights.:coffee:

    Does the wiring change when the 1548 is installed? I don't want to burn out the tach if it can be helped.:rofl:

    Your tach will work the same with either points or petronix. No worries.
