Is there a good source for a oem or aftermarket radiator for 71 cj5 with odd fire?

Good Luck unless you want to spend $500 or so plus. From my searching, and my father in law looking for a alternate radiator listing in his books from his junk yard days. The 71's radiator is pretty much unique to the 71, it seems especially for the V6. I ended up going to a radiator place with a template of the opening, and all my measurements, and end ended up with a radiator from a RX-7 if I remember correctly. If interested send me a PM and I will look for a for sure make/model & year.

If your tanks are in good shape you can have them recored. Mine cost $254 about 2 1/2 years ago to have recored. There is a replacement out now that can be had from 4wd hardware for $370. Part #: 98417

Problem with that is 67-72 are not all the same. I know your 71 is different than my 67 Mike, and 72 was intermediate with the inline....

I knew that Patrick but I was going by the dimensions of 17"x22" that they gave, along with the tank setup. I know the actual catalog has 2 different radiators for the 67-71 models. It possible that its still wrong but I was going by the catalog info.
    Part #98416 is listed for the 65-71 v6 models also, it has measurements of 16-9/16" x 17-1/4" x 2".
