My Jeep has been terribly noisy lately, from the valvetrain to the transmission. Well I bought some Lucas oil treatment and added about a half bottle to the engine and a full bottle of their 90wt gear oil to the trans and it made a world of difference! I can't believe how quiet everything is now, the trans especially. So if anyone is plagued with that terrible whine from the trans and a loud valvetrain, give Lucas a try. It is definitely worth the price. Shifting is more positive and smoother than ever, too. I had almost forgot how great the exhaust note is on the Jeep. All I could hear before was the whine and tapping! :D :hurrican:

Haven't tried lucas but I did the same thing with slick 50 for manual transmissions. Quieted down a lot. But if you have a loud whine in your transmission or t-case could be something like a worn intermediate shaft. Mine whine got much better, but then began to get worse again so I rebuilt it and now I have a quiet transmission/ t-case, without the additive.:)
