79 cj transmission mount

I am finally about to start the rebuild of the 79 304 cj5. Nowhere in the Haynes or Chilton manual does it address the transmission mount. I bought the Quadratec kit but no instructions. Does any one have a diagram? This and a front disc brake attachment bracket (it got tradeded in with the calipers and no one knows where they went) are all that is left. Any help with the installation or locating a bracket would be very appreciated.

 

Sorry if I sound like a broken record on this, but the Haynes and Chiltons books are of limited help usually. The factory manual is the best available, but spendy.

However, for something like this, the parts manual might be best. There are some factory parts manuals here http://oljeep.com/edge_parts_man.html but not for your year.

 

you're not kidding about not much help. I bought the Chilton manual after being so disappointed abut the Haynes manual . They are both very incomplete and almost no help for some of the more soppisticated repairs. Try to figure out the alternator bracket without more info. I have looked for the shop manual without success.

Exactly what I needed. And absolutely not the way I thought it went together. This is an awesome site. Thanks. Any ideas on locating brackets for the front disks and I am done.
