Can any one tell me why after market brake lines seem to leave out my 66 cj5 with the v6? Did they have a different master cylinder? Can I update or use the lines from a 67? From the catalogs I look at they go to 65, then 67. I want to replace all the brake lines with stainless steel. It seems like the 1966 V6 CJ5 had some unique ,that year only parts, and I am wondering if I can just use the next year up on most of them. If these seem like stupid questions its because I am just undertaking this project of restoring and am trying to learn as I go. This forum has been a great help. Thanks

Have you tried to get these from your FLAPS?

Where are you looking that jumps from '65 to '67?

if you have 10" brakes, the hose is probably the same as a '67. If you have a good relationship with your FLAPS, they'll order either or both and you can match up the old one and buy the one you need.

Another possibility is to get them from somewhere like Inline Tube www.inlinetube.com - they can make the hoses if you can't find them otherwise. There's probably a place local to you that can make them too.
