there is a port on the back side of my carburetor down low that connects to a rubber hose, bends downward and slightly to the passenger side and goes into a port on the top of the intake manifold. The hose was kinked so I put a new hose on there today. I'm wondering what that is for and if those are even supposed to be connected together or if the PO has something messed up. Now here is the thing I know the PO has messed up and I need help on... just in front of the one port on the intake manifold that I just mentioned, there is another port that is a bit smaller in diameter, and right now it has about 1 3/4" hose on it with a bolt in the end that is held in with a hose clamp. What is that actually supposed to go to? and what does it do also? I'm assuming it's not supposed to be just capped off like that. So if you guys can let me know for each of those two things I'd really appreciate it. Thanks guys.

That carburetor port should plug into the PCV if memory serves me right.

:? I don't have anything to the top of the intake manifold but my vacuum brakes.

Pics definitely would help here, at least for me.

My PCV valve goes from the carburetor base to the, well, PCV valve, not the intake.
