Will early 70s heads off a 231 fit and replace my 1966, 225? I am rebuilding the motor but would like heads that can be used with unleaded gas. Is there any year thats better then a nather .Thank you for any help.

    Welcome from Kansas!

You'll get a better response with your post in the proper section. I moved it for you.

If your 225 heads are in decent shape just have hardened valve seats put in them.

There's other discussion here in the forum (Search) and some stuff in the tech section about swapping 231 heads onto a 225 if you think you really would like to do that.

I had hardened valve seats put in my heads when I rebuilt it 3 years ago. No real need to go to the trouble of finding different heads for this unless you just want to. Your factory heads can be updated quite easily.
