71 CJ5 Seat Belt Mounting Point

    OK, I read all the pros & cons on belts. My question, from the factory what type of belts did the 71 have. Second question, I can see where the belts mount on the outside of the seats (square gusset inside rear wheel wells) but I have no idea where the belts mounts on the inside sides of the seats. If any has a pic it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks:)

    The outside belts are on a self roll up spring loaded wheel bolted to the rear fender well and the inside belts simply bolt to the floor on the raised portion of the floor behind the seat.

    there should be a threaded hole there for th einside belt if the floor has not been replaced. IIRC, there is also some reinforcement of the metal.
