I am going to be installing a t14 from herm soon and wanted to see what you guys think will be the easiest way to tackle this project. I have heard people say the they leave the bellhousing in place and the mount the new trans to it that way also I have heard mounting everything out of place and then install the entire thing at one time. Please let me know what you thing will be the easiest from working out og my garage only.

I'm a 'mount the bellhousing to the engine first then install the tranny, then install the transfer case' kind of guy, especially if you're laying on the floor without a proper tranny jack.

Thank you both for the input I have not gotten to that point right now. I am doing a brake job and a 4 inch hells creek spring under lift to it first. Once I figure out how to remove the front brake from the swags at the front of the wheel stud I will be a happier person. However the 4 inch lift is going great from hells creek. I just hope the tranny will go as easy as the lift and not the same as the front drums.

If you guys can suggest anything I would be happy to try it out. If I new I could cut the drums off I would because I have new ones to replace them. However if I do cut the drum in half or in a pie shape they will still be stuck to the stud by the swag bolt.

You gotta love 1969 Half cab. I am thinking TNT might be the best answer.

I've got a cheapy press and just pressed them out of the hub then just put regular studs back in. Some people don't recommend doing that although I've never had any problems.
