Wiper connecting rods?

1st....... where do i get the wiper connecting rods for my 71cj5?

2nd...... How do i get them in and out of there?

 

I'd suggest you go to the intermediate forum and search. There are a couple of old posts there about using the '76-up parts with slight modification. There's no aftermarket source for the correct parts AFAIK.

There are plugs in the windshield that you can see, or that you can see if you remove the padded dash. You also can get in there through the defroster ports in the bottom of the windsheild - fold it down.

 

I drilled out the spot welds and took the frame apart to remove a large nest built by mice. I did'nt need to replace any thing in my 68 windshield frame. Just cleaned every thing real well. If I remember right I sandblasted the inside of the frame and painted it before reasembling. I mig welded the holes that I drilled at the spot welds. Kaiser Willys would be the only company I know of that might be able to get you these parts new but there may be others. best of luck to you Anthony
