Welding Goggles?

    Another vote for the HF auto darkening mask. Here's a little tip that applies to any mask. I wear reading glasses and find it's a pain to use them inside the mask. I went to my FLWSC ( friendly local welding supply company) and bought a set of "cheaters". They're a set of reading lenses that are the size of the lens in the mask (2" x 4", or so) I put them inside the mask, using the springs that hold the lens to hold them in. They work great and I can leave my readers in my pocket. You can also get the cheaters that are more powerful than your readers for better viewing of fine welding detail.

    I'm surprised no one mentioned the sand man, it feels like sand in your eyes when you get flashed. Once you use an autodarkening helmet it's hard to go back to anything else.
